Alex Reimann Returns to Spa for French Carrera Cup: Targeting Continued Strong Form

This weekend, EST1 Racing’s lead driver Alex Reimann will line up on the grid at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit for the third round of the Porsche Carrera Cup France (PCCF) season. The race marks another milestone in Reimann’s packed 2025 campaign, which has already seen him successfully compete in GT Cup Europe, Porsche Supercup, and the Carrera Cup Benelux.

Although a tight racing schedule forced Reimann to skip the second PCCF round at Dijon, EST1 Racing team principal Raimo Kulli confirmed that the team’s momentum and focus remain unaffected.

“Missing one round doesn’t change our mindset, we’re going out there to give it everything,” Kulli stated, underlining that the team is fully committed to maximising results at every event, regardless of past calendar conflicts.

Reimann has plenty of motivation to make a strong impression in the French series. At the opening round in Barcelona, a double engine failure — beyond the control of the team or driver denied him the chance to convert promising pace into results. Now, Spa offers the perfect opportunity to make amends.

Having already competed at Spa multiple times this season, Reimann is no stranger to the circuit’s challenges. His experience in both dry and unpredictable conditions has been steadily growing, and just last month, he scored a podium finish at the same venue in GT Cup Europe. That success adds further confidence heading into this round.

“Alex has already logged a lot of mileage at Spa,” said Kulli, referring to the Estonian talent’s increasing confidence at the legendary Belgian circuit.

The unpredictable Ardennes weather is a well-known wildcard at Spa, but early forecasts suggest the team may be spared the usual rain.

“Fortunately, it looks like we’ll have a dry weekend,” Kulli noted. “That allows us to focus more on setup and delivering a clean performance.”

Reimann enters this race on the back of a strong run of form:

  • A podium finish at Spa in GT Cup Europe,

  • An impressive debut in the Porsche Supercup round in Barcelona,

  • And a wet-weather masterclass at the Carrera Cup Benelux round in Zandvoort.

With momentum on his side, Reimann heads to Spa with a clear goal: build on his recent performances, gather valuable experience, and solidify his position at the sharp end of Porsche’s one-make series ladder. The team is prepared to give its all  and given the trajectory of the season so far, success feels less like a hope and more like an expectation.
