Reimann Scores Double P8 in Assen

EST1 Racing driver Alex Reimann claimed eighth place in both races of the fourth round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux at Assen, the Netherlands.

Starting the first race from the very back of the grid in P18 — a result of a penalty carried over from the previous Benelux round — Reimann wasted no time in making up ground. Several decisive overtakes on the opening lap brought him to the fringes of the top ten, and he eventually crossed the line in eighth.

“Assen rewards precision — and that’s one of Alex’s biggest strengths,” commented team principal Raimo Kulli. “We knew that with well-judged overtakes, he could make significant progress.”

In the second race, Reimann started from P13 and once again made confident moves through the field to finish eighth for the second time that weekend. There was speculation about how much further he could have climbed had he not spent much of the race caught in tight midfield battles.

“The pace to stay with the front-runners was definitely there today,” Kulli confirmed.

Reimann reflected positively on the team’s effort:

“It wasn’t the easiest weekend, but I’m proud of the work we did as a team,” he said, praising the world-class EST1 Racing crew around him.

Fellow Estonian Thomas Kangro finished 15th in Race 1 and improved to 11th in Race 2.
