EST1 Racing and Alex Reimann Take on the Spa 12-Hour Porsche Challenge

Spa-Francorchamps, Belgium – 6 September – EST1 Racing driver Alex Reimann, who has repeatedly impressed this season with his speed on both European and American circuits, is preparing to switch from sprint racing to the ultimate test of endurance. This Saturday, Reimann will line up at the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps for the 12 Hours of Spa, part of the prestigious Michelin 992 Endurance Cup.

Exclusively for the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992), the race promises a thrilling battle in front of thousands of fans, with at least 25 cars expected on the grid.

International Team for a Legendary Challenge

Reimann will not face the Spa marathon alone. Joining him in the EST1 Racing Porsche are Angelo Fontana from Venezuela and Robin Knutsson from Sweden. Together, they form a strong international trio ready to fight at the highest level.

The event begins on Thursday, 4 September with testing, continues on Friday with free practice and qualifying, and culminates on Saturday, 6 September with the gruelling 12-hour race. Fans can expect not only the spectacle of racing through both day and night, but also new qualifying formats, including the Top 10 Shoot-Out, which has already generated plenty of excitement among drivers ahead of the opening lap.

Team Principal: “A Logical Step Forward”

According to EST1 Racing Team Principal Raimo Kulli, Spa marks a natural progression in the team’s development.

“We are always exploring new opportunities, and we have already experienced a 12-hour race in the past. This time, the motivation came from the fact that it is a Porsche-supported event, and we managed to build a strong line-up with Alex, Angelo and Robin.”

While the car remains fundamentally the same as in sprint competition, some adjustments have been made for the endurance format.

“Because this is a Porsche event, the regulations are largely similar to our usual set-up. The only additions were a second fuel cap for faster refuelling and headlights for night racing,” explained Kulli.

Kulli remains realistic yet optimistic:

“As always in endurance racing, the first goal is to finish. The second goal is to fight for a podium.”

Reimann’s First Endurance Race of 2025

Known as one of the most skilful overtakers in Porsche series, Reimann has already proven his pace across the Atlantic, securing podiums and standout performances in elite Porsche championships. The Spa 12 Hours, however, will be his first endurance race of the season.

This presents a fresh challenge where outright speed must be carefully balanced with strategy, consistency, and stamina.

Strategy, Stamina and the Spirit of Spa

The Michelin 992 Endurance Cup at Spa-Francorchamps promises a weekend filled with excitement, strategy, and the pure drama of endurance racing. With identical cars across the field, only those who combine speed, resilience, and flawless teamwork will emerge on top.

As Reimann and EST1 Racing prepare for the spotlight on one of the world’s most iconic circuits, the message is clear: to last is to win.
