Reimann Ready for Hungaroring Carrera Cup Battle

This weekend, Alex Reimann, one of Estonia’s brightest rising stars in motorsport, will line up with EST1 Racing for Round 3 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux at the legendary Hungaroring. It is a packed summer for the young driver, who has been competing across multiple elite series – in addition to the Benelux championship, Reimann has successfully taken on challenges in Carrera Cup France, Porsche Supercup, and GT Cup Europe, embracing one opportunity after another.

Dubbed the “Monaco without walls,” the Hungaroring will present a unique challenge for Reimann, who will be racing there for the first time.

“Overtaking here is definitely more difficult than at a track like Spa, but it’s not as tough as Monaco,” explained Raimo Kulli, Team Principal at EST1 Racing, adding that a good driver will always find opportunities, even on challenging circuits.

Overtaking has indeed become one of Reimann’s trademarks. Across his last four race weekends, he has gained at least five positions in every race, underlining his growth and racecraft. Despite this being his first visit to the Hungaroring, his recent performances give confidence that a strong result is within reach.

“A podium is definitely a realistic target when you look at Alex’s performances and progress this year,” Kulli added.

The Carrera Cup Benelux round at the Hungaroring takes place from 4th–6th July, marking the symbolic midpoint of the season. For Estonian racing fans, it will provide plenty to cheer for during this Song Festival weekend.
