From 5th–7th July, the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux season continues at the historic Imola circuit, where Estonian driver Alex Reimann will once again take to the grid in EST1 Racing colours.
Two rounds into the season, the competitive hierarchy is beginning to take shape and team targets are becoming clearer. For Reimann and EST1 Racing, that now means just one thing: a top-three finish in the Rookie classification. Currently sitting 11th overall and 5th in the Rookie standings, Reimann is just six points adrift of the rookie podium. With a strong performance, Imola could mark a breakthrough weekend. Encouraged by the step forward made during the previous round at Zandvoort, Reimann is ready to carry that momentum into the technically demanding Imola circuit.
One key challenge again this weekend will be the presence of strong competition – including none other than reigning World Rally Champion Kalle Rovanperä. Fresh off a rally win in Poland, Rovanperä returns to the Porsche cockpit. He made his GT racing debut at Zandvoort, immediately showing his pace with 4th and 5th place finishes in the overall classification.
