The fourth round of the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux season takes place from 2nd–4th August at the Assen circuit as part of the JACK’s Racing Day motorsport festival. Among the starters once again are Alex Reimann and EST1 Racing.
“This race offers us an important benchmark,” said EST1 Racing team principal Raimo Kulli. “Porsche Supercup driver Larry ten Voorde will be on the grid. We’ll definitely compare Alex’s performance with Larry’s. Racing alongside drivers of this calibre provides valuable insights and learning opportunities.”
Reimann heads to Assen on the back of his debut podium at Imola and is determined to repeat that success. It won’t be easy, as in addition to the regular Carrera Cup competitors, the Assen grid will also feature several high-profile Dutch guest drivers taking part in the JACK’s Racing Day event.
In the overall championship standings, Paul Meijer of Hans Weijs Motorsport currently leads with 100 points, holding a narrow advantage over Dirk Schouten (Q1-Trackracing) and Benjamin Paquet (D’Ieteren Luxury Performance) by 12 and 13 points respectively. Robin Knutsson (NGT Racing) is fourth with 77 points, suggesting the title battle will likely be decided among this leading quartet.
For Reimann and EST1 Racing, currently 10th overall – the Rookie classification remains the key focus in this debut season. At the top of the Rookie table are Kobe Pauwels (D’Ieteren Luxury Performance) and Sam Jongejan (Team RaceArt), with Reimann in third, trailing the leaders by 60 and 34 points respectively. With six races remaining in the season, the gap is still bridgeable.
There won’t be much downtime after the Dutch round either – the team has confirmed its participation in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany event at the Nürburgring from 15th–18th August.
