Circuit Racer Alex Reimann and EST1 Claim Double Podium in France

This past weekend, the GT Cup Europe grid faced intense heat and unpredictable rain at the Paul Ricard Circuit in France, where EST1 Racing fielded three entries.

Two of the cars were piloted by Estonians Alex Reimann and Indrek Jaaska, while Venezuelan driver Javier Ripoll Jr. took the wheel of the third.
“We’re seeing increasing interest from international drivers, and running multiple entries presents a valuable challenge for the team,” said team principal Raimo Kulli.

It was Alex Reimann who performed at his best on the shifting weather conditions, securing a second-place finish on Saturday and a third on Sunday with a double podium from the weekend’s two races.

Saturday’s race was contested under extreme heat, testing both the drivers and the machinery. Fortunately, Reimann knew exactly what it would take to keep himself – and his Porsche 911 – cool under pressure. Braving the soaring temperatures and on-track incidents, he brought the car home in a superb second place, earning a well-deserved spray of chilled champagne on the podium.

Reimann, who has not hidden his love for the Paul Ricard circuit, was upbeat and determined after the race:
“The pace is strong, and we’re going to push hard again in Sunday’s second race.”

The weather changed dramatically on Sunday with the previously hot and dry conditions turning suddenly cold and rainy. Starting from fourth on the grid, Reimann once again showcased his racecraft and consistency by fighting his way onto the podium for the second time in as many days.
