From Spa to Zandvoort: Reimann Targets Breakthrough Weekend

From 7th–9th June, the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux season continues at the historic Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands. Among those lining up on the grid is Alex Reimann, representing EST1 Racing, who made a strong debut earlier this year at the opening round in Belgium.

Heading into Zandvoort, the team is aiming for a result that reflects the promising pace Reimann showed in Spa. His debut weekend brought 11th and 9th place finishes overall, earning him 6th and 4th positions respectively in the Rookie standings.

“We learned a lot from Spa,” said Reimann. “It was a challenging start, but the experience was invaluable. Now we’re focused on turning that speed into a result.”

Raimo Kulli, Team Principal at EST1 Racing, echoed the confidence:
“We had a bit of bad luck in the first round, but the speed was there. The goal remains clear—we’re fighting for Rookie podiums at every round.”

The team arrives at Zandvoort with solid preparation behind them, having already completed early spring test sessions at the circuit. During those tests, EST1 Racing’s driver development consultant Sten Pentus highlighted one of Zandvoort’s key variables: the weather. Whether it’s sunshine or showers, every tenth of a second matters in this ultra-competitive one-make series.

This weekend’s field is particularly stacked, with rising GT stars all vying for position. One of the standout entries will be none other than two-time World Rally Champion Kalle Rovanperä, currently on a sabbatical from WRC and joining the grid for selected rounds of the Carrera Cup.
