Circuit racer Alex Reimann will compete in two Porsche series this year

Estonian driver Alex Reimann and the EST1 Racing team will compete in two Porsche one-make series this year: the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and the Porsche Carrera Cup France .

After making his debut in Porsche racing in 2024, Reimann showed promising pace and even claimed podium finishes. Now, both Reimann and his home team EST1 Racing are ready to take the next step. The 2025 season marks Reimann’s first full campaign in the Pro class across two of Europe’s most respected GT racing series — the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux and the Porsche Carrera Cup France.

Both championships feature intense competition among talented drivers in virtually identical Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars. As official components of the Porsche Motorsport development ladder, these series act as springboards to top-tier competitions such as Porsche Supercup, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), and DTM.

Despite his young age, Reimann already brings considerable international racing experience to the grid. Now, all that he’s learned must come into play at the highest Pro category level.

“We’re very pleased to continue working with Alex and to move forward together towards bigger goals,” said team principal Raimo Kulli. “He’s a champion in the making, and we’re proud to be a part of his journey.”

At the same time, EST1 Racing stresses that they approach the season with measured expectations.

“Our objective is to develop, maintain a consistently high level of performance, and gain valuable experience. Every step Alex takes forward in the Pro class is already a major achievement in itself,” Kulli added.

Pre-Season Testing in Southern Europe

To prepare for a busy spring schedule, Reimann competed from January to March in the Porsche Sprint Challenge Southern Europe. The off-season series provided a strong testing platform, attracting several renowned teams and drivers.

“The final round in Southern Europe didn’t fully reflect our potential , but each race weekend brought us closer to our goals,” said Reimann. “We were fast during testing and made noticeable progress in free practice. However, the competition was incredibly tight — even the smallest time gaps translated into significant position changes.”

In the races, Reimann showed both speed and consistency. In the opening race, he gained 11 positions to finish 11th. In the second race, he climbed to eighth place before a collision ended his run prematurely.

“This series was an ideal experience — we learned a lot. EST1 did an excellent job, and I feel like we’re heading in the right direction. Now it’s about getting every detail right, and we’ll be ready,” Reimann concluded.

Two Series, One Ambition

Reimann’s 2025 racing calendar includes at least 12 race weekends across the two championships 🏁. Many of these will be held alongside major international events such as the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), DTM, GT Open, and ELMS. According to the team, additional guest entries in other exciting race series may also be added to the schedule.

The Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux begins on 09 April with testing at the iconic Spa-Francorchamps circuit, with the first race weekend taking place there from 8th–10th May alongside a round of the FIA World Endurance Championship. The season will then take competitors to other legendary circuits including Zandvoort, Hungaroring, Assen, and Zolder.

Meanwhile, the Porsche Carrera Cup France will challenge Reimann on highly technical tracks such as Paul Ricard, Dijon, Misano, and others. The season opens this very week, with the first round in Barcelona  from 4th–6th April as part of the ELMS (European Le Mans Series) event.
